Individual and small group lessons in composition, theory, performance, and production techniques with Ableton Live / DJ software & turntables / analog synthesizers / hardware samplers and more! $50/hr for private lessons, $15/hr per person for small groups (4-5 people).

Baltimore Boom Bap Society (Erik Spangler/DJ Dubble8 and Wendel Patrick) work closely with a classroom music teacher or ensemble director to develop a collaborative performance. Incorporating an original composition or remix of other repertoire for the students, we provide an experience of creative contribution through structured improvisation and sharing our process of performance with electronics.

15 years of designing curriculum and teaching classes in sound art, foley and narrative audio, music production and live electronics at Maryland Institute College of Art since 2008, together with colleague Jason Sloan. Check out our program, now a minor in the Interactive Arts department here.
